Tarquin. 15.1 ArabxWelsh. 33 year. D.O.B 1977 . Grey Gelding.
Tarquin has been with his owner for 25 years. He is looking for a home that can
continue giving him the care and attention he deserves. Tarquin has arthritis which
is managed in the cold months with anti-inflamitories. His arthritis causes him to
stumble sometimes though he still has the occasional canter round his field and
enjoys playing with the other horses. Tarquin would benefit from a level field and
good grazing. Tarquin lives out happily during the summer months and comes in
the evenings during the winter. He has no vices. He is good for the farrier
and is happy around children. Tarquins owner is happy to contribute
towards his day to day needs if necessary

If you can offer Tarquin a loving retirement home, preferably in the Surrey area,
please contact the V.H.S

Basil is looking for a home due to his owners change in circumstances. He is a
lovely, friendly horse. He travels well in a lorry. He's good with the farrier and loves
children. Basil is currently retired but he walkd out well and may be able to be
lightly hacked by a lightweight person.
He is able to live out most of the year and is only stabled in winter. He had no
special needs and is not on any medication. Please contact the V.H.S if you able to
offer Basil the care he deserves.

Prince, 14.3hh, 21y/o, Welsh Section D
Prince is looking for an experienced riding home. He is a warm, friendly, talented
horse whose potential is not being used to its full. He requires a confident rider as
he can become strong when excited. He has been out of regular work for 6
months. Although easy to handle on the ground in general, he is often reluctant to
load, but once in a trailer he travels well. He can ride out well alone but also enjoys
company. He is prone to mites in his feathers in the summer, but apart from that
has no medical problems.

He is excellent for the Farrier, when having his teeth checked and when being
groomed.  At present, he is stabled at night because his companion is stabled and
they make a fuss if one is in and one is out!

Prince has been wormed regularly under the worming programme from the vet,
has regular visits from the Farrier, an annual ‘dentist’ visit and is up to date with his
vaccinations.

colour: bay, breed: Irish Sports horse.
Special Needs
Is stabled at night in spring. She has no
ailments and has not been ill for the last
three years. She has bred two foals and
so is unfit but can be brought back to
work gradually and hack out or do local
shows. She is not a novice ride. She has
competed in show-jumping classes,
hunter trials and has evented at novice
level.
Owner had her from 1992 to 1996 when
she was sold on, she then found her in a
dealer’s yard in poor condition so bought
her back, but does not have facililities.

Bubbles is fully retired. She is an ex-ridding school pony. She was retired due to a
small lump on her spine, this dose not hinder her in any way. She is a good nanny
to any youngster and has spent the past few years baby sitting. She is easy to do
in all respects. A very kind field company for any horse.

VHS Hamilton 26 year old 15.2hh Grey Welsh x
Hamilton is a stunning flea bitten grey horse. He has had a difficult past and has
undergone slow behavioural rehabilitation in order to regain his trust in humans.
He is much more accepting now but requires quiet, firm handling to ensure he
does not slip back into old habits. Hamilton would be best suited to a one to one
relationship on a small yard. He is a very special boy who needs a very special and
understanding home that will meet his needs - in return, he will give a lot of
pleasure to the right person.
