Completing your passport
The Society is able to accept any age horse for a Passport. However, the horse or pony must be 15 years of age to qualify for VHS Registration, this is automatic when you apply for your VHS passport. No other money is required.
With effect from the 1st July 2009 any horse requiring a passport must be micro-chipped prior to the passport application being made and micro-chip details and barcode must be included with the passport application.
The VHS recommends that all known breed owners should in the first instance contact their breed society.
If you require an example of a completed passport, please send a sae and this will be sent out by return.
Please do not worry about your passport, we are here to help and assist as much as we possibly can. Our Passport Office is open each Wednesday and Thursday and is managed by Martin Pritchard.
If you do not want your horse to go for human consumption please ensure that you sign the correct declaration.
Please ensure that your vet completes the medical section should drugs be administrated.
