Passport Information

The Society is now accepting donkeys for passporting.  The fee will remain £20, with
those wanting recorded delivery return a further £5.00.  The regulations are the same for
donkeys as horses and require 2 photographs of each animal.
It is law that all equine owners must have obtained an equine passport, the government
may fine you up to £5,000 without one.

Please note you do not need to be a V.H.S. Member to obtain a passport.

Passport Application £20.00

If you already have a passport and would like to register your veteran with the Society
please send your complete passport to VHS H/O and we will over stamp this and give
you a VHS registration number, the cost for this is: £20.00

If you sell your horse or he/she changes owners you must complete a change
of ownership document (included in your passport) the cost for this is: £17.50

If you lose or damage your passport the cost of a replacement passport is: £20.00

As a non-profit making organisation we run entirely on donations and this reflects in the
price of a Passport. By donating a small amount such as £2.50 you are helping us to
help more horses around the U.K.

Each application must include 2 recent side view photographs without tack. Without this
your Application will not be processed. Please ensure your horse's name is on the back
of the photograph with an approximate year of age.

If you require your passport to be sent recorded delivery back to you – include a further
£4.00 on your cheque or postal order and please indicate that you require the passport
recorded delivery. The society cannot be held responsible for any details or passports
lost or damaged in the postal system.
