VHS TIMMY

If timmy could join Julianne in the kitchen he would!
Spring 2008
Timmy is still a lonely little man
and is left to wander at will, he has made no friends since losing Jim but has
taken a liking to Harry and Jez and does occasionally toddle about behind them.
He had yet another health scare in
November when we thought we might lose Tim. He was found by Charlotte on the
bottom yard, he was very stressed and circling round and round, after calming
him down he was taken to Milly’s stable. Timmy was freezing cold down
one side but warm on the other, he had completely lost his sight and was walking
into anything in his way. Julianne called the vet and it was thought that he
had either had a heart attack or stroke, Julie set off to the pharmacy under
the vets instruction to pick up aspirin to thin his blood. After funny looks
from the pharmacist, Timmy was syringe fed 90 300mg aspirin. It was his last
hope, Tim couldn’t go out because he was blind so he was stuck in his
box until we could find out if it had worked. Luckily, it did, within 24hrs
he was back to his normal self. This was not normal circumstances and the aspirin
was given under direct instructions from the vet, do not give aspirin to your
own horse without strict instructions from the vet.
Timmy is losing his stuffing now as
it is now that time of year, he loves when the weather is nice to go out naked
into the field and have a good scrath under the tree in the garden. And even
today with the snow pouring down (in April I might add) he is in the hay field
keen to join in the fun.
Timmy’s feed is fed really sloppy
now because he has lost all his teeth now. Due to his age he is really spoilt
now and is given a hand full of everything in his hay replacer.
Timmy is fed on:
1 Build up
1⁄2 16+
1 Sugar beet
1⁄2 Barley
He still has a load of supplements too…
Echinacea
B sure
Garlic
Grande complete
Surefoot
Timmy’s mix
Angus Castus
Weight 362 kg
Little Timmy is like a lost little sole now that
Jim Bob has been taken from him and has not found another friend since he went.
He finds life quite lonely and just follows the staff around the centre whilst
they are mucking out. He is very much spoilt by everyone and occasional ventures
into a paddock, but is really not that pleased to see anyone. He then will stand
outside Julianne kitchen, as she lives at the centre, in hope of a chopped carrot,
(which he always gets!) he will then follow her down to the office and munch
grass outside and then amble to the bottom yard.
He has a little heart failure in March and it appears that due to his age his
heart and circulation are weak. He now wears special warm wraps that are especially
made for him. He has lost all his front teeth on one side and is only able to
munch on the long grass.
His diet has increased from last winter and he has a specially prepared supplement
from Hilton Herbs for his arthritis and heart condition, which is very sweetly
named Timmy’s Mix.
He is on 2lb Safe and Sound, 1⁄2 lb of Pasture Nuts, 1lb Chaff and 1⁄2
lb of Leisure Mix (as he loves this). His supplements are endless but all very
necessary
Echinacea, garlic, Timmy’s Mix, B Sure, surefoot, Angus Tincture.
Although he is lonely, and does miss Jim Bob, he is very much loved and spoilt.
He has to be clipped each month due to his long coat and we have a real job
taking photo’s of him as he just hates the camera.
Although Timmy is not officially on the adoption programme, you can always adopt
him and just go to the adoption pages and place Timmy’s name on the pony
you wish to adopt.
Thank you for visiting Timmy’s site and taking the time to read his update.
