Our Showing Series Is Sponsored By Allen & Page

Allen & Page was established as a limited company in 1936, but the Page family had been producing and selling horse feeds for many years. Originally based at the mill at Quayside, Norwich, the company quickly became renowned across East Anglia for the high-quality feed it produced.

Allen & Page strives to constantly innovate and improve, and part of that process involved moving the business to its current state of the art mill in Shipdham, Norfolk. The new mill provided the company with the technology to produce feeds that were more wholesome and environmentally friendly than the market standard, an ethos that continues to this day.

More than two decades ago Allen & Page gained the accreditation of many major food production and quality control bodies, including the Vegetarian Society, Soil Association and ISO organisations. This set a standard for the company to continue working closely with these bodies to ensure the highest quality feed is produced.

Allen & Page have supported the Veteran Horse Society for over 10 years. The Veteran Horse Society was crucial in helping to launch Veteran Light, the low-calorie feed for veterans, that is suitable for horses and ponies prone to laminitis.

The Veteran Horse Society’s National Championships provided the perfect arena to introduce Care & Gain, from Allen & Page’s Specialist Range, this feed cares for your underweight equine whilst being suitable for horses and ponies prone to laminitis.

Veteran Vitality has been the trusted feed for veterans since 2010. Launched in recognition that our older horses and ponies tend to have more complex needs than their younger counterparts. Allen & Page have worked with the Veteran Horse Society to understand these needs and create feeds that meet them.

The Veteran Horse Society has helped to identify horses that are fed on Allen & Page feeds, to feature in their ongoing marketing, celebrating their customers’ feeding success stories. The Veteran Horse Society is proof that people do care about their veterans, and the sales of Allen & Page veteran horse feeds would corroborate this.

VHS/HOYS PRESS RELEASE

Harry Hall One Club and Veteran Horse Society Announce 2026 Partnership Supporting HOYS Ridden Veteran Championship

Harry Hall is pleased to announce Harry Hall One Club as the Veteran Horse Society partner for Horse of the Year Ridden Veteran Championship.

The partnership brings together two organisations with a longstanding commitment to supporting horse owners and promoting the welfare and enjoyment of older equines.

Dedicated solely to horses and ponies aged 15 years and over, the Veteran Horse Society celebrates the care, longevity and partnership behind the UK’s veteran horses. Its showing series and National Championships recognise the commitment of owners who continue to keep older horses thriving, active and competitive.

For the first time, Veteran Horse Society members have the opportunity to compete in a HOYS qualifier, turning a long held ambition for many owners and riders into a genuine possibility.

Held over three days at Arena UK, Lincolnshire, the Veteran Horse Society National Championships is the largest veteran equine event in the UK. The Championships include the prestigious end-of-season Supreme Finals, the highly regarded Veteran of the Year, and now the final qualifier for the HOYS Ridden Veteran Championship.

With the 2026 qualifying season now underway, veteran horse owners and new members are beginning to plan their route to Horse of the Year Show and the opportunity to compete in the celebrated Arena of Dreams. The Veteran Horse Society and Harry Hall One Club are proud to support competitors throughout that journey and to play a role in a championship that gives older horses a place on one of the sport’s most recognised stages.

The Society’s values sit naturally alongside those of Harry Hall One Club, which provides horse owners with access to membership perks, insurance products and shopping rewards designed to help make horse ownership more manageable and affordable.

Liz Hopper, CEO of Harry Hall, said:

"We’re horse owners and riders ourselves, and we understand the realities of caring for horses. In 2017, we launched One Club to help make horse ownership more affordable through practical membership benefits and insurance designed around the needs of equestrians.

Harry Hall has been supporting horse owners for more than 130 years and we are delighted to be involved with the Veteran Horse Society and Harry Hall One Club Ridden Veteran Horse of the Year Championship in 2026."

Julianne Aston, Founder of the Veteran Horse Society, said:

"We are delighted to be working alongside Harry Hall and look forward to developing a successful partnership for the Championships, the Society and our supporters, but above all for the veteran horses themselves.

The introduction of veteran qualifiers for HOYS has created tremendous excitement amongst our members and competitors. To see older horses recognised on this stage is a significant moment for the veteran horse community."

Harry Hall continues to support the equestrian community through its One Club membership, insurance services and perks. Designed to support owners to care for their horses and help ease the financial pressure of owning a horse.
